Why Donate?

(...Because the life saved may be in your family!)

The faster First Responders arrive on the scene of an accident, fire or medical emergency, the better the opportunity of saving life, limb or property.

You can bleed to death in minutes.

Your brain cells start dying after just 5 minutes without oxygen, such as from smoke inhalation in a fire, carbon monoxide poisoning, a heart attack, choking, drowning, a drug overdose, or a stroke.

After just 6 minutes without air, brain damage is very likely.

You will suffer irreversible brain damage after 10 minutes without enough oxygen.

Each minute your heart goes without oxygen, such as during a heart attack, irreversible damage is done.

Fires can spread and engulf an entire house in minutes.

In an emergency, minutes count. We need YOUR donation to upgrade 9-1-1 service. The life saved could be yours or your family's.

The greatest opportunity to save OR LOSE time getting First Responders on scene happens during 9-1-1 Call handling.

We will use your contributions to fund upgrade of the Colorado 9-1-1 System to a "Next Generation 9-1-1 System" based on the same advanced digital technologies you use every day in personal and business communications. We will close the "9-1-1 Technology Gap."

Next Generation 9-1-1 will help get 9-1-1 calls to the correct 9-1-1 Center faster, and can provide First Responders and Emergency Rooms with advance information about your emergency and your location.

Next Generation 9-1-1 minimizes the delay when a 9-1-1 call is misrouted (as is common with cell phones and some Internet phone calls).

Next Generation 9-1-1 will support smartphone applications which will interact with the 9-1-1 System to get First Responder's dispatched even faster, and make some 9-1-1 functions automatic.

We will use your donation to provide public education regarding effective use of 9-1-1, to help get calls to the right 9-1-1 Call Center quickly, and reduce non-emergency calls to 9-1-1 which tie up 9-1-1 lines and 9-1-1 Operators. delaying calls reporting true emergencies.

We can't do it without your help. Please donate today by clicking here. Lives depend on your generosity.
